The Apartment

I had bought Catalani for my father — a writer and painter: he was renting, and above all the building had a lift. But my father did not like it, he did not want to move more than a few metres from where he had always lived. I, instead, had fallen in love with this large apartment.

Built in the 1930s for the Railways management, it has huge rooms, high ceilings and views over a quiet street. The three bedrooms, the large kitchen, two bathrooms and a generous storage room make it ideal for students or families.

We are in San Iacopino, a neighbourhood that has kept its small shops and personal services: bar, baker, fruit and veg, gelateria — everything you need within a few steps. The tram is just around the corner.
