I'm Iacopo
I'm an engineer, working in renewable energy. As a hobby, for years now, I've been restoring historic houses.
An important note: every house we have bought, with my family, was abandoned and in poor condition. I love a challenge, and I like to give new life to homes that deserve a little respect after dark and empty years. I hope we have managed to do that.
We are not a company: we are real people running this directly. Sometimes we live in some of the houses ourselves, so they are not always all available at the same time.
One family, eight homes
We are not a company: each home has a different owner, a member of the family. We've placed personal furniture and objects to give each home its own character: posters from every corner of the world, paintings and prints by my father, family pieces.
My grandmother's armchairs (we're talking Corbusier), early 20th-century wooden wardrobes, a table that came from Morocco, original plates and details.
These are not aseptic homes — they're homes that carry a story. Ours.
What We Do
We rent houses for short or long periods, both for tourist use and for other needs. Eight apartments, from studios up to four bedrooms, from ground floors to penthouses with terraces.
Three of our houses are dedicated to tourist stays:
All with a terrace or generous living areas, listed on the main booking platforms. Borgo la Croce and Guelfa 49 are also available for monthly rentals.
The other houses are dedicated to those looking for a stable home in Florence, with a regular contract:
Students, professionals, families, singles: each finds the option that fits their needs.
How We Work
Recovery, not new building
We buy abandoned houses in poor condition and restore them. No needless demolitions, no new builds: only recovery of the existing heritage.
Direct Management
We are not a platform. We are not a company. We are real people running things in person. When you write, one of us replies.
Energy and Sustainability
My day job is in renewable energy, and that shows in the work on the houses too: efficiency, insulation, modern systems wherever possible.
One challenge per house
Each house has its own restoration story: making them modern without losing their character. We don't pick the easiest, but those that need it most.
